Born and raised in the hills of Sausalito, I was twelve before I learned how to ride a bike. My sister and I discovered early on that if we saved our allowance we could hire a taxi to get us candy from the local 7-Eleven (resourceful even then!). Now I'm still trying to get other people to do my dirty work, and most of the time I'm successful. I like Scrabble, cats and art collecting and have recently become a video/audio enthusiast as evidenced by my postings on YouTube.

As a freelance technology writer, I specialize in demystifying digital media and computing for readers, friends and family. I've always been able to program my VCR, and enjoy teaching other people how to tackle similar technologies for themselves. My twin loves of writing and technology first converged in college, when I was Managing Editor of the MIT student newspaper. I now write monthly how-to articles that appear within My Moments. I live in Berkeley, California with small furry robots often mistaken for Siamese cats.

For most of my 12 years here at Sonic I have managed various engineering teams and departments, delivering products such as SonicStudio, DVD Creator, DVDit, MyDVD and more. Two years ago I started Roxio Labs with a mission to build web-centric applications for digital media. Roxio MediaTicker and Roxio Buzz were our first two offerings. Currently I'm product director for our online products & services initiative, working with our outstanding engineering team to innovate cool stuff for the digital media future. I spend my spare time with my son, watching movies, or configuring some newfangled device for my digital home.

I'm a Training Manager for Roxio Customer Care. When I'm not training people on our products, I enjoy DVDs, and all the cool things that technology offers. I am also a struggling writer, doing more struggling than writing these days. In addition, I'm an avid reader, enjoying science fiction, and fantasy. I live in Richmond Hill, Ontario with my cat, Buzz.

I oversee the mobile and media management technologies and products within Roxio. As an avid digital media and convergence technology enthusiast, I love to explore new ways of capturing moments in my analog life and enjoying them on the latest digital devices and gear.

More than 5 years ago, I started at Sonic/Roxio as an e-mail tech support agent and am now Content Manager of Customer Care's Knowledge Base, RoxAnn, and the web-based training administrator (now theres a sexy title!). In my spare time, I record and mix music, record odd sounds, write, study and take pictures of insects, and offer unsolicited information to anyone I think will listen.

Over the past 10 years I've led the design, development and launch of numerous consumer and professional multimedia applications and currently serve as the Director of Roxio's User Experience Group. I'm passionate about user-centered design practices and currently focus on new product initiatives based on helping consumers create, manage and enjoy their digital media.

I moved from the Haight Ashbury to Aachen, Germany in 2000 to work with Roxio's European team as a product manager. My major interest apart from my family and my job is music. I am lucky enough to be able to participate in developing audio software products for Roxio, a perfect fit for my passion for music. I sang and picked guitar and bass in a bunch of honky tonk bands in San Francisco before I moved to Germany. Here in Germany, I am involved in a great music scene, and gigging as often as possible.

I started my career as a Mastering Engineer with CBS Records. In 2006, I joined Roxio as Director of Product Management. I'm a lifelong musician, avid photographer, and a serious videographer.

I've already written about my ongoing project to rip my 2,500+ CDs onto a network hard drive. But that's actually an easy task compared to that of digitizing the almost 300 vinyl record albums remaining (from my original collection...
